A bit about me: I am a published author and part-time proofreader. I am passionate about animal welfare and social justice issues.. I have been a Weight Watcher leader, a quiltmaker, a massage therapist and a pharmacy technician. I enjoy reading, writing, baking, traveling, my dog, photography and a little tv. I have 2 daughters, 2 stepsons, and 10 grandchildren. I have worked as a volunteer fire-fighter, a waitress, a sexual assault and domestic violence counselor, a CPR and First Aid instructor, a keypunch operator, emergency medical technician, and a volunteer prison visitor.
This quilt is named "Candle at the Crossroads." It is a basic log cabin pattern, with the squares positioned to show the cross. The yellow center of a log cabin quilt signifies a candle in the window and was used in the Underground Railroad to show that this was a safe house. This quilt covers a twin size bed nicely. I gave it to Paula to give to her daughter's in-laws as a going-away present.
